The BOBST Group announced that it will open a new plant in Itatiba-SP, Brazil, in 2020. The new factory is 4.5 km from BOBST's current Brazilian plant and 6 km from the city center. It is adjacent to many large local leading companies with a total area of 6,000 m2. The new facility will be equipped with state-of-the-art production equipment, making it more efficient and providing comprehensive technical and service support to local customers. The project is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2020.
The new factory is positioned as a modern, state-of-the-art factory. Sustainability is the main consideration, and projects such as photovoltaic energy, green roof, low waterproof pavement, rainwater collection and reuse, and garbage recycling will be launched at the plant.
The architectural design of the factory will show an inclusive and energetic style to better demonstrate the spirit of BOBST innovation and collaboration. At the same time, the “Capacity Center” and “Training Center” will be set up to enable BOBST Latin American team to better display products and services to customers and provide customers with the best user experience. Together with state-of-the-art equipment, customers can gain a deep understanding of BOBST's quality services, including equipment maintenance, parts inventory and customer training.
Eduardo Petroni, CEO of BOBST Latin America, said: “We are pleased to announce this investment decision, which shows that we have taken an important step in Latin America to continuously improve business growth in Latin America. At the same time, we will maintain the original Itatiba factory. The operation, the new plant plan will not affect our daily work.” It can be seen that the new plant is an important part of BOBST's Latin American development strategy.
